NCBFAA Educational Institute Certifications
Enhance your knowledge in the international trade industry by enrolling in one of our online certifications offered through the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc. (NCBFAA). Certifications available include: Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Certified Export Specialist (CES), Master Export Specialist (MES), and Master Customs Specialist (MCS). All courses are online and self-paced with a proctored final exam. These certifications are supported by our partners at the Laredo Licensed U.S. Customs Brokers Association (LLUSCBA).
CERTIFIED CUSTOMS SPECIALIST (CCS) PROGRAM
The CCS Program is designed to assist trade professionals involved in the import industry to become experts in the current import regulations. Whether you have a broker’s license or you have just a year or two of related experience, this course will provide you with a solid foundation for you to increase your industry knowledge. The CCS course will review fundamental points relevant to the importation process. Each topic will help you grow and develop as an import professional. This program will allow you to refine your professional skills while continuing to stay current with the rapidly changing marketplace within import industry. The CCS Course is a six-month, self-paced, online program consisting of 23 modules (each ending with a summary quiz), 4 checkpoint quizzes, and a final exam.
CERTIFIED EXPORT SPECIALIST (CES) PROGRAM
The CES Program is designed to help trade professionals involved in the export industry to become competent and knowledgeable in the current export regulations. The CES course will allow you to expand your knowledge of export procedures, and keep current with recent changes affecting the export industry. The CES Course is a nine-month, self-paced online program with a final exam.
MASTER EXPORT SPECIALIST (MES) PROGRAM
The MES Program is designed for a broad audience that includes shippers, carriers, freight forwarders, bankers, government employees, insurance professionals and students alike. Encompassing 60 hours, this online certification program includes Real-World Scenarios, Industry Vertical Examples, Export Perspectives, and Trade Tips. The MES course is a six-month, self-paced, online, 10-Module course with a final exam and scholarly essay.
MASTER CUSTOMS SPECIALIST (MCS) PROGRAM
The MCS Certification designates its holders as possessing advanced knowledge and skills in U.S. Customs and its partner government agencies. A highly prized and recognized accomplishment, the course leading to certification provides the practitioner with a depth of expertise beyond the day-to-day operational demands of Customs brokers and import operations. It instills the expertise to advise clients on strategic considerations and risk management. It also provides a deeper understanding of the impact and great implications of day-to-date decisions and enhances the holder's ability to exercise responsible supervision. The MCS course is a six-month, self-paced, online course with a final exam and scholarly essay.
